Plan for Preliminary task.

For our preliminary task, we have planned to keep the same characters and people acting from our first Preliminary task as it will be easier for us.
Yasmin and Sian will be acting and Briarly and Tania will be filming/directing.

We are using the same location as our first preliminary task as it worked well last time.



This is our storyboard for our Preliminary task.
On the board it explains what shots we will use and extra information such as who is what character, what the actors will be doing, etc.

Script:
Yasmin: You'll never guess what?
Sian: Oh for god sake, I've got so much...
Yasmin: It will only take a minute I promise!
Sian: Go on then...
Yasmin: Sally's only gone and got herself up the duff hasn't she!
Sian: No way? Who's the dad?

We are doing a preliminary Task because we want to Familiarise ourselves with the equipment, computer software and filming techniques.
We are re-doing it so we can put it on this blog and as we now know more about how things work hopefully this task will be better and run more smoothly.

Preliminary Task Shot examples.

Establishing shot:


Establishing is used at the beginning of films to show the audience the setting and location and can indicate the genre.

Close-up shot:


Close-up are useful so that the viewers attention is on an object and it is the main focus. Also, it helps the audience understand what they are doing/what is happening better.

Match on action shot:




A match on action shot is used to keep the rhythm of filming between two shots and so the audience can see where the character is coming from.

Reaction shot:


This is used to introduce the second character and the audience can see how what sort of personality they have.

Long shot:


This is effective as it allows the audience to get a view of several things in the frame such as the character(s), location, reactions, etc.

Filming a conversation:


Filming a conversation is useful for the audience as it allows people to see a conversation quickly as it has been edited well and the audience can see how two people are interacting.
